The European Union has set 2035 as the target date for banning the sale of new internal combustion engine cars. This ambition is supported by the France 2030 plan, which provides €15 million in funding for the development of intermediate vehicles.
Why are intermediate vehicles the solution for mobility?
Intermediate vehicles, such as Mov’ntec Mobility’s Galibot, represent an innovative and appropriate response to the challenges of today’s mobility. These vehicles are at least ten times lighter than a conventional electric car. For example, our Galibot, with a speed of 45 km/h and an average range of 60 km depending on its use, offers protection against bad weather while allowing travel with a low environmental impact.
There is a wide variety of intermediate vehicles adapted to different uses, but they all share common characteristics: lightness, sobriety, durability, recyclability and French manufacture!

Intermediate vehicles, like the Galibot, are designed to be easy to maintain. As well as being highly energy-efficient, their deployment will help to create jobs across France. According to ADEME, these vehicles could satisfy 60% of daily mobility needs.

As happened with the electric bicycle a few years ago, the adoption of intermediate vehicles will progress as users are able to try out this new mode of transport and appreciate its advantages.
The eXtrême Défi Mobilité programme aims to create new travel solutions to replace the car for everyday journeys. The aim is to design a range of vehicles manufactured in France that can carry one to three people, while being :
