Francis Kopp, Managing Director, still remembers the foundation stone laid when the building was constructed. It’s hard to sum up our double celebration in just a few lines: 20 years of the Ruitz site and 2 years of Mov’ntec!
The day began with a VIP welcome in the rain, with hosts and hostesses from the Lycée Carnot in Bruay-la-Buissière escorting our guests with umbrellas. After receiving a personalised badge at reception, we headed to the communication forum for a welcome coffee and the first exchanges between our guests!
With Jean Baptiste’s supervision, several groups of around thirty people were naturally organised to take part in a guided tour of the company. This was an opportunity to find out about our teams, our organisation, our expertise and the potential of our company, and to answer a few questions as the tour progressed. Once they arrived at the podium, it was time for the long-awaited speeches by Francis Kopp, Antoine Cumin, Piet Ameloot, Olivier Gacquerre, Frédéric Motte and Sébastien Bécoulet. One message followed another, revealing some figures on the market for 100% electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. After a breakdown of the overall figures, we can conclude that the market share of BEVs (100% electric vehicles) is up by 8% over the first 8 months of 2024. The realistic messages from each speaker are encouraging for the future of electric mobility in the world, in France and in our region.
The ambition and boldness of our managers, the collaboration of our teams, and the support of our partners and public services form a collective force that is enabling us to develop and grow our company. It is thanks to this dynamic that we are able to innovate in unique projects such as our 100% electric pick-up, entirely designed and assembled at our Ruitz site. The ribbon was cut to inaugurate the GALIBOT production line! Let’s get started!
We’d like to thank all our guests, partners, suppliers, elected representatives and employees who came to celebrate our anniversary at our MOV’NTEC factory! Thank you for believing in us and supporting our most ambitious projects. As Antoine Cumin, the company’s director, pointed out, the takeover of the site and the creation of Mov’ntec have been quite an adventure. Even if the road sometimes resembles a rollercoaster, it’s really worth it!
For the more intrepid, there was also the opportunity to test drive the Galibot, this time in the sunshine, in the company of Guillaume Dupont and Manuel Lenoir! If you were lucky enough to take part, don’t hesitate to let us know what you thought!
The morning ended with a cocktail reception prepared by the caterer DesLysGourmands and the distribution of tote bags filled with souvenirs in the colours of our company. We also welcomed a number of school groups in the early afternoon, including students from the Lycée des Métiers Salvador Allende in Béthune, the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers in Lille, the Lycée André Malraux in Béthune and the Lycée Carnot in Bruay-la-Buissière. A total of 100 students at our company!
