How long has MOV’NTEC had a collaborative relationship with CABBALR?
The history of this collaboration goes back to the early stages of the establishment of the LENZE group. The close relationship established over the years has created an ecosystem conducive to innovation, employment and sustainable economic development. The company actively contributes to the local economy, creating jobs, stimulating innovation and strengthening the region’s reputation as a centre of industrial excellence.
How would you describe the impact of the CABBALR on the development and growth of MOV’NTEC in the region?
The Béthune-Bruay conurbation is playing a crucial role in the development of MOV’NTEC. Although the credit goes to the company’s entire team, the CABBALR’s positive impact is notable as a dedicated partner that actively supports the company’s growth. Concrete actions, such as the application for and award of the “Territoire d’Industrie” label, testify to the agglomeration’s commitment to strengthening its fruitful collaboration with MOV’NTEC. This will enable MOV’NTEC’s advanced industrial facilities to be showcased. In addition, the conurbation, a true advocate of local innovation, has always highlighted the remarkable characteristics of its area. The conurbation claims to be the “pioneer territory of the electric valley”, of which MOV’NTEC is an essential link in this quest, alongside other renowned players. This position on the part of the conurbation generates a large number of contacts with French and foreign companies and start-ups, all of which are beneficial to the company’s development.
Can you give some examples of your support and guidance?
Innovation is at the heart of the conurbation’s economic strategy. It has a clear ambition: to transform the area into a veritable innovation laboratory, where local SMEs can be used as tools to bring innovative projects to fruition. With this in mind, the Innovarium programme is currently being rolled out, embodying the vision of a “giant fablab”. Tools such as the REV3 acceleration campaigns, the Intelligent Territory cluster grant and the development of international business corridors are being mobilised to make this vision a reality.
The successful collaboration between MOV’NTEC and start-up SWOOP Energy, facilitated by the conurbation, is a prime example of the conurbation’s support and guidance. This fruitful partnership enabled SWOOP Energy to industrialise a versatile, modular and robust energy station based on second-life batteries.
MOV’NTEC was also named winner of a call for projects for the “Intelligent Territory Cluster”, enabling it to test a new model of electric utility vehicle. These initiatives demonstrate the conurbation’s tangible commitment to supporting local innovation, with MOV’NTEC as a prime example of the synergy between a visionary company and a conurbation determined to create a thriving, innovative ecosystem.
How is this alliance helping to strengthen the local spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship?
The alliance between the Agglomération and MOV’NTEC plays a key role in strengthening the spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship in the region. Thanks to the local authority’s innovation initiatives, MOV’NTEC acts as a mentor to project leaders. By offering personalised support and practical advice, this collaboration creates an environment conducive to the emergence of new ideas and the growth of businesses.
What specific aspects of this collaboration do you appreciate most?
What I really like about the conurbation’s collaboration with MOV’NTEC is that it’s a win/win partnership. A synergy that benefits both parties. By investing in MOV’NTEC’s success, the Conurbation not only strengthens the local economic fabric, but also contributes to the vitality of the region as a whole. In return, as MOV’NTEC prospers, it becomes an ambassador for the region’s attractiveness, attracting other companies to join this success story. The convergence of the region’s development objectives is palpable in every action undertaken by the Agglomération and MOV’NTEC. The region’s claim to be a “pioneering electric valley” is not just a slogan, but a shared vision. MOV’NTEC, as an essential link in this vision, is actively contributing to positioning the region as a leader in innovation and electrification.
